  1. With Boston losing earlier today The Yankees Magic Number is now at 11. Hopefully the Yankees will increase their lead tonight over Boston with a win tonight.

  2. Over under on Nunez errors tonight is 2.

    • There is no over/under on errors for Nunez. Michael Kay is a bleeping moron for harping about this all year making Yankee fans think less then they should about about Nunie.

      • ha just wanted to see who i could get a rise out of first. My money was on Ken.

Good to see ya stopping by Dan. Looks like Arod might be back Friday.

      • Dan…
Nice of you to stop by, hope to read some of your comments. If I remember right (which is doubtful), you were one of those that liked Nunez. I said he made to many errors (throwing).
Well, he still makes errors but, covers more ground and if given the chance to play one position, should do well.
I am liking him more each time I see him play. He has tools that can and should help the team in the future.

        • Ken…I have always liked Nunez a lot more then most of the moronic blogs did and still do. I expect him to continue to grow as a ballplayer and start at SS full time in 14. Next year I think he’ll continue to play more depending on roster makeup in an expanded super utility role with more outfield if Jeter hits. He could see a good amount of time in LF if Gardner is traded which I think is very likely as Cashman is going big game hunting for a bat this off season. I firmly believe if Votto is willing to play RF going forward he’ll be a Yankee at the latest mid year next season.

          • I love the Votto talk. Interesting bringing up Gardner being traded. I’m sure Ken will be quick to respond with a NO WAY!. lol

            • I think the Yankees can afford 6 players earning above 20 million going forward but to do so they need to go with young talented players at the other positions. Gardner is going to cost real money soon so why not maximize his trade value and move him now with 3 years of team control left?

I firmly believe a nice 3 team deal can be made between the Reds, Yankees and Padres with the Yankees getting Votto for RF. The Yankees really need another bat imo.

Votto and Wilson would be my targets if I were Cashman even at premium prices. If Wislon isn’t available I would target Darvish.

            • Matt…
You got dat dar right on mun!
Other then the fact that I like him as a player and what he brings to the team, I have to say…I don’t really follow players from other teams much so, I don’t know that much of Votto!?! No Way!
Let’s face it, Brett hasn’t had a good year, he has to get more consistency in his game or he may be traded…I hope not.

              • Ken…Votto is one of the top 5 offensive players in all of Baseball. Bringing him to NY would be just what the Yankees need an I wouldn’t let Gardner stand in the way of that.

  3. I HATE when they bunt with Gardner on 1st!!! Such a waste. Girardi has done it many times this year and I really don’t understad it. The guy leads the league in SBs…8th inning of a tie game, give him a chance to steal the base or at very least call a hit and run to stay out of the DP.

  4. Robertson is so good. Comes in with 1st & 3rd 1 out….gets a pop up and a K. Has done it all year long getting out of seemingly impossible situations.
