2011 Yankees Awards

Welcome to the first ever Yankees Awards which recognizes the Yankees players for their talents, charity and class off and on the field. You have cast your votes and only your votes determine the winner. Now, since it is 2011 (almost 2012), we added 11 categories. Let’s get to announcing the winners!

Sure the Yankees are a team that are full of superstars, but only one could rise to be Player of the Year. Your nominees for Player of the Year are:

1. Curtis Granderson

2. David Robertson

3. Robinson Cano

4. Ivan Nova

And the winner of the Player of the Year award is….

The Yankees are jammed packed with superstars in their rotation as well. They all have done well this season, but only one could be Starting Pitcher of the Year. Your nominees for Starting Pitcher of the Year are:

The Yankees were knocked out of the 2011 Playoffs way too early, but there were players that rose to the occasion and tried to pick up the team. Here are your nominees for the 2011 Postseason MVP award:

The Yankees are not a team that will stay quiet. As a matter of fact, they have done things that have made the non believers stay quiet and they have done the unthinkable. Here are your nominees for the 2011 Actions Speak Louder Than Words  award:

That was a big Action Speaks Louder Than Words moment in the 2011 Season. Even Joe Girardi was pumped when it happened and he barely shows emotion. Here was how you voted:

Yes, the Yankees are there to do a job but that shouldn’t stop them from being goofy, silly, funny and downright loveable. Your Most Loveable Yank of 2011 nominees are:

And the winner of the Most Loveable Yank of 2011 award is:

Sometimes the Yankees starters need a break from time to time (except oddly Curtis Granderson). Anyway, sometimes the Yankees need a backup in order to help the team. Here are the nominees for Bench Player of 2011:
