  1. Can’t wait to finally watch a Yankee game again! Only 9 hours away….you know you are baseball starved when you are counting hours until a ST game. ST games are meaningless to many but I like them for the following reasons:

1 – Always good to see the condition a player is in. Often gives a glimpse at the player’s motivation. I’m happy to hear Swish & Hughes are in excellent condition after reporting “soft” last y which led to brutal starts to their regular seasons.

2 – Fun to watch pitchers work on new pitches. This yr its Pineda’s change up although I think it’s more important for Hughes to master the change since he lacks the plus-plus FB & Slider Pineda has.

3 – This is the most important thing for me – It gives me an opportunity to see a lot of the prospects play. Last yr, we all got to witness that Banuelos’ stuff was for real as he mowed through some good MLB-hitters.

    • I’m pretty excited to watch the Spring Training games myself. I usually like to watch the prospects play. It’s just fun to watch the talent that the Yankees farm system has before they are sent down to the minor league camp
