Pre-Game Notes:

— An MRI on David Robertson’s right foot showed concern for manager Joe Girardi. David Robertson spent yesterday in a Tampa hospital getting more tests done. The Yankees will have more results later today but Girardi sounded less optimistic about Robertson not missing Opening Day last night than he did earlier in the day.

— As you all may have noticed, Derek Jeter & Brett Gardner’s travel schedule have differed ever since Jeter played 2 days in a row earlier this week. Gardner for now won’t play with the starting OF but will instead be in the same lineup as Mark Teixeira & Alex Rodriguez. Speaking of travel, here are the players traveling to Disney Park tomorrow

PITCHERS: Pineda,  Burawa, Cabral, Cedeno, Marshall, O’Connor, Pope, Stoneburner, Whelan, Whitney

HITTERS: Gardner, Teixeira, Rodriguez, Jones, Ibanez, Cervelli, Gil, Higashioka, Murphy, Sanchez, Adams, Bernier, Hall, Joseph, Laird, Nix, Vasquez, Almonte, Curtis, Maxwell, Mesa, Wise

— The game today is on YES Network at 1pm, so if you are able to watch the game…there you go!

Enjoy the game!

  1. I want to see Vazquez hit bombs. It’s either a K or bomb from him. And def no walks. He is a hacker.

  2. Jordan Stanley

I love both, and there both great players,
but I’d still say Granderson, because he
can hit, run, and throw to get and out at
home, but Cano is still a great player.

  3. Garcia is looking good, with 10 years of 12+ wins I wouldn’t count him out of a starting spot. He is a veteran that really knows how to pitch, he reminds me of Mussina the year he won 20. He doesn’t throw hard anymore, but his splitter is an equalizer.

  4. All 3 Yankees pitchers so far today are looking pretty darn good (Garcia, Soriano and Banuelos). Banuelos in 2 innings,3 K’s and no runs. He did have 1 WP but he threw a lot of strikes.

Maybe he shook off the nerves from his previous (1st ST outing).

  5. Very good outing by the Yankees pitchers today, even if was against a Braves split squad. Particularly encouraging was Banuelos he threw a lot of strikes.
