Lineup vs. Braves

Brett Gardner, CF
Andruw Jones, DH
Alex Rodriguez, 3B
Mark Teixeira, 1B
Raul Ibanez, RF
Francisco Cervelli, C
Bill Hall, 2B
Justin Maxwell, LF

Pitching Matchup:

Michael Pineda (0.0, 0.00 ERA) vs. TBA

Pregame Notes:

— Eduardo Nunez will not be making the trip today. He had the full day off yesterday and will stay in Tampa to do some batting practice.

— Joe Girardi emphasized to Russell Martin & Michael Pineda that he would like to see the changeup during his outing today, so expect some changeups.

— Joe Girardi also isn’t sure what rehab routine David Robertson will have, but he would like to have D-Rob throw while sitting in a chair to keep his arm strength (something that David Robertson is not a fan of). Robertson plans on working his upper body in Tampa today by doing core workouts.

— Dewayne Wise was scratched from the trip today because of a sore hamstring. He’s not slated to miss a lot of time.

Enjoy the game!

  1. Looking forward to this game. I believe Tex has been out of the last two games right? Also to Pineda’s stuff today.

He could get rocked cause the coaches want to see him throw more change ups and he is working on thing so I’m not gonna get all hyped if he has a bad start.

I suggest for those who don’t have twitter to follow Bill Hall he is very cool and if you tweet things to him he usually responds. He has mentioned our blog before.

  2. Hopefully the worry about Pineda’s fastball was much to do about nothing. He hit 93 MPH today in his 2nd outing. Both he and Cabral looked good this time around.

  3. Good day for the Yanks, pitching and hitting was good. Pineda, Cabral, Marshall, and O’ Connor all had good outings. Some of the young hitters continued to impress. Gill, Sanchez, and Nix had 2 hits.

    • Good to see Cabral has a good outing. He’s going to have to keep it up if he wants to have a chance to head north when the team breaks camp in April.
