Morning Bits: Pena, Pineda, Swisher

Good morning everyone! Yankees play the Nationals today on YES Network. CC Sabathia is slated to pitch. Have a great day and let’s get on to the links!

Ramiro Pena hurt his ankle while trying to steal second yesterday, thus ending the 4th inning. He’ll be out 2-3 days. That’s Ramiro Pena…being Ramiro Pena.

Michael Pineda’s fastball velocity isn’t quite where it needs to be right now, according to the Daily News. But if Michael Pineda’s not worried about it, then we all shouldn’t worry,

— During the Blue Jays & Yankees game not many have noticed that Nick Swisher left the game early. Girardi said that Swisher left only after 2 at-bats because of a tight left groin. We’ll see if Swisher plays today vs. the Nationals.
