Morning Bits: Kuroda, Nova, Soriano, Girardi

Not a good day for Yankee baseball yesterday.  Really if you think about the only two runs scored last night happened because a Yankee fan reached out into the field of play.  New series tonight.

Let’s get right to the links….

— Yankees are seeking length from Kuroda in Toronto writes Jon Star of MLB.COM.

Bryan Hoch of has an article of Soriano recalling his history as a closer and he is confident.

Hoch also writes that the Yankees are hoping Nova can stay on turn.

— For what it’s worth Girardi said if the roles were reversed he would have argued the home run call from last night off of Granderson bat.

The Yankees stink in the first inning pitching wise. 35 runs given up in 36 games. 17 doubles along with a .957 Ops is not going to get it done. Is this somewhat on Russell Martin being predictable in his game calling?
