Morning Bits: Nova not sharp, Prospect notes, Joba and more…

Good morning all.  Verlander was just nasty last night striking out the Yankees left and right.   On the other hand Nova was poor again and I am starting to worry if he is running out of gas.   The game tonight is for 7:05 on the mound will be Hughes and Porcello.

Enjoy the day.  Now for some links…

Wallace Matthews of ESPN NY says that Nova looks lost on the mound.  He mentions his ERA after the all-star break is 8.36!!!!!!

Andrew Marchand of ESPN NY has some minor league notes including Banuelos, Austin, Williams and more.

Bryan Hoch of MLB.com has a few notes from last nite including that Joba hit 97mph.
