Minor Night-Cap 6/19/11

SWB L 0-2

No runs for Scranton today.  Taking the loss was Carlos Silva who went 4.2 innings giving up two homeruns. His record now moves to 2-1.

Trenton W 10-8

Trenton scored their first run of the game in the top of the 2nd when Cody Johnson hit a solo shot.  Johnson came up in the top of 4th and doubled in another run. In the top of the 8th Trenton scored 5 runs 2 came when Kruml homered scoring Baker. Getting the win in relief was Halsey.

Charleston W 7-4

No homeruns in this came but lots of doubles from De Leon, K (10), Flores (13), Murphy, JR (23), Feliz (14), Segedin (15).  Getting the win in the relief was Burawa.

Staten Island L 5-3

Cito Culver had two RBI’s on two outs. The most important part of the game though was that Phil Hughes started he went 4.1 innings striking out 7 and giving up one homerun.

Minor Night-Cap 6/16/11

SWB L 8-1 F/8

Their only run came in the bottom of the 7th came with a sac-fly. Pitching in the loss was Phelps who falls to 4-5 on the season.

Trenton L 3-2

Trenton’s two runs came in the first inning in their loss.  One of the runs came when Bradley Suttle doubled (13) in Raymond Kruml.  Taking the loss and getting the blown save as well is switch pitcher Pat Venditte.

Tampa W 3-1

Trenton scored all three of their runs in the 5th innings two of them when Emerson Landoni singled in Taylor Grote and Kyle Higashioka.   Getting the win was Heredia who moves to an impressive 7-1.  He went six innings with eight strikeouts.

Charleston L 5-1

Their lone run came in the 5th inning when stud catching prospect Gary Sanchez hit a solo homerun (5).   Taking the loss was Turley who moves to 3-6 on the season.

SWB W 3-1

SWB scored all three of there runs in the top of third.  Two of them when Kevin Russo doubled in Doug Bernier and Austin Krum.  Warren went 7 innings in the win moving his record to to 5-2.

Trenton W 7-3

In the bottom of the second Trenton scored two when Yadil Mujica singled in Deangelo Mack and Jose Pirela.   In the bottom of the second again Mujica doubled in  Jason Place scores and Addison Maruszak.  Hall took the win going 6 innings and striking out 5.  He moves his record to 6-3.

Tampa W 11-6

In the first inning Walter Ibarra hit a solo homerun (3).  In the top of the 3rd Ibarra doubled in (14)  Kelvin Castro and Abraham Almonte.   In the top of the 5th Lyrely and Z. Almonte went back to back with Solo shots.  In the top of the 7th Zoilo Almonte homered again (9) scoring Robert Lyerly.  Getting the win in relief was Solbach who moves to 4-3 on the season.

Charleston L 9-3

Charleston scored two in the bottom of the second when Michael Ferraro doubled in Rob Segedin.   Taking the loss in relief was Reyes.

SWB W 8-3

In the top of the 4th Jesus Montero homered (5) scoring Austin Krum and Ramiro Pena.  In the top of the ninth Gustavo Molina singled in Kevin Russo and Greg Golson.   Getting the win in relief is Wade who moves to 3-1 on the season.

Tampa L 2-1

The only run for Tampa came in the 1st when Kevin Mahoney singled in Robert Lyerly.  Taking the loss was Romanski who falls to 5-5 on the season he went 5.1 innings with 6 strikeouts.

Charleston L 3-0

No runs tonight Gary Sanchez had 2 hits one being a double.  Taking the loss in relief was Barreda.

SWB W 5-4

Ramiro Pena drove the first run of the game in for SWB when he singled in Austin Krum. Four runs were scored in the top of the 8th two of them when Greg Golson singled in Jorge Vazquez and Brandon Laird. Igawa started the game and got a ND.  Schmidt got the win in relief moving his record to 3-1 on the season.

Trenton L 7-6 F/12

The first run for Trenton came in the fourth inning when Bradley Suttle singled in Corban Joseph.  Trenton scored four runs in the 7th two of them when Corban Joseph doubled in Ryan Baker and Raymond Kruml. Trenton scored one more run in the bottom of the 12th but it wasn’t enough.  Duff got the blown save and Hernandez took the loss moving his record to 6-4.

Tampa L 10-5

In the top of the sixth Zoilo Almonte hit a solo homerun.  Two more runs came in the 8th inning when Kevin Mahoney homered scoring Zoilo Almonte. Taking the loss was Black who falls to 4-6 on the season.

Charleston W 6-4

Charleston scored three runs in the 2nd inning 2 of them when Michael Ferraro doubled in Kyle Roller and Rob Segedin. Two more runs were scored in the 6th when Kelvin De Leon homered in Rob Segedin. Getting the win was Ramirez who moves to  3-2 on the season going 6 innings and striking out five.

Taking the loss was Mitchell who fell to 4-5 on the season.  Mitchell went 7 innings striking out two and giving up three earned runs.

Trenton scored there first run in the bottom of the 4th when Jose Gil hits an inside-the-park home run. The next run was scored in the bottom of the 5th when Bradley Suttle singled in Raymond Kruml. The last two runs came on the bored in the bottom of the 6th when Jose Pirela doubled in Jose Gil and Deangelo Mack scores.  Yankee pitching prospect Banuelos got the ND going 5.2 innings striking out 8 and giving up 2 earned runs.

Tampa scored there first two runs in the top of the 4th when Zoilo Almonte homered scoring Robert Lyerly. Tampa scored two more runs in the 5th.  The winning pitcher was Heredia who moves to 6-1 on the season.  Heredia went 5 innings striking out seven.

They scored there first run in the first inning when Corban Joseph doubles scoring Raymond Kruml. The rest of the scoring came on base hits. Pitching and getting the win was Heyer who moved his record to 6-3 going 5.2 innings.

Tampa L 2-0

No runs scored in this one. Taking the loss was Marshall who fell to 4-5 on the season.

Charleston L 2-1

They scored there lone run when Ramon Flores doubled in Anderson Feliz. Taking the loss was Greene who moves to 2-6 on the season.

SWB 10-1

SWB Yankees scored early and often they first scored when Parraz doubled and scored Laird in the bottom of the 2nd.  Russo then singled driving in Parraz. Brewer then singled driving in Russo.  In the bottom of the 4th Jorge Vazquez homered for the twentieth time scoring Ramiro Pena. Vazquez then doubled in the bottom of the 6th scoring Pena again.  Warren pitched the complete game striking out seven and giving up only six hits.

Trenton L 4-1

Trenton scored there lone run in the top of the 3rd when Yadil Mujica doubled scoring Deangelo Mack. Yankee future star Betances pitched six innings striking out 8 in the ND.  Taking the loss is switch pitcher Venditte who moves to 0-2 on the season and blowing his first save.

Tampa W 4-3

Tampa scored early in the first inning when Zoilo Almonte singled in Abraham Almonte.  Tampa then put up 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th on a bunch of bloop hits. Allen went 6 innings in the ND.  Solbach picked up the win in relief moving his record to 3-3.

Charleston L 5-4 10innings

Charleston put up a run in the bottom of third when Jose Mojica singled in Anderson Feliz.  In the bottom of the 8th Charleston tacked on two more runs when Anderson Feliz doubled scoring  Gary Sanchez and Eduardo Sosa. Taking the loss in relief was Perez.

In the bottom of the third Molina hit a solo homerun. In the bottom of the 6th Russo singled scoring Vazquez.  Taking the loss was the starting pitcher Brackman falling to 2-5 on the year.  He went 5.2 giving up 4 earned runs.

Trenton L 4-2

Trenton scored in the top of the first when Suttle hit a sacrifice fly scoring Kruml. In the top of the fourth Cody Johnson hit his 11th homerun.  Pitching tonight for trenton was Igawa who went a strong 6.2 innings but had his chance blown by  Hernandez which was his fourth blown save.

Tampa W 6-0

Tampa started it off in the first inning with a quick run Lyerly singled and Abraham Almonte scored.  In the second inning Ibarra hit a sacfly that scored Castro.  In the 7th Ibarra doubled scoring Almonte. In the 8th Castro singled scoring Mahoney. Pitching and getting the win for Tampa was Romanski who went six innings stiking out seven and giving up only 3 hits.

Charleston L 4-1

Charlestons lone run came in the top of the second when Kelvin De Leon singled scoring Segedin.  Taking the loss tonight was Kahnle in relief moving his record to 1-2.

Minor Night-Cap 6/6/11

SWB L 4-1

SWB Yankees lone run came in the bottom of the fourth when Jorge Vazquez hit his 19th homerun of the season.  Losing Pitcher was Mitchell who did have ten strike outs.  Mitchell gave up 3 earned runs on nine hits his record evens out at 4-4.

Trenton L 8-7 F12

In the top of the second Mack hit a two run homer scoring Gil.  In the top of the third the Thunder scored two runs again when Joseph and Suttle hit back to back homeruns.  In the top of the 5th Mujica hit a solo shot of his own.  Suttle came up again in the top of the 7th and hit another home run to left field. Pitching for Trenton tonight was Banuelos who had a rough outing.  He went four innings allowing two homeruns and five earned runs.

Tampa W 3-1

All the three runs that the Tampa Yankees needed to win came in the top of the first.  With one out Castro homered to left. Lyerly then walked and Z. Almonte came up next and homered. Black earned the win striking out two and giving up six hits improving his record to 4-5.

Charleston L 2-1

The lone run of the game happened in the top of the second when Sosa singled and Kyle Roller scored.  Ramirez pitched six innings and left with the win in hand but Forer blew his second save and took the loss going 1-4 on the season.

 

 

Minor Night-Cap 6/5/11

SWB W 3-2

Carlos Silva was suppose to start this game but got pushed back to a later date. Brandon Laird had a game tying RBI single in the bottom of the first that brought home Ramiro Pena.   In the bottom of the second Pena was up and hit a two run shot that gave the Yankees the lead.  The SWB Yankees held onto the lead and won the game.  Montero had no hits and Vazquez had one hit.  Krum had a stolen base and an outfield assist.  Pope got the win in relief.

Trenton W 5-2

Trenton pulled out the win and swept the series.  They are won of the hottest teams in all of Minor League baseball.  Trenton scored two runs in the bottom Joseph knocked in a run with a double and Joseph scored later in the inning on a fielders choice. In the bottom of the second Trenton scored three more runs.  Johnson hit a two RBI single to give Trenton five runs.  Johnson had three hits on the day.  Heyer pitching 6.1 innings to get the win striking out five and giving up two earned runs.

Tampa W 3-1

In the bottom of the second Murton singled which scored Grote.  In the bottom of the sixth inning Place hit a ground rule double that knocked in a run.  Grote hit a sac-fly for an RBI.  Heredia got his fifth win of the season.  He pitched seven innings giving up one earned run.

Charleston L 4-2

Slade Heathcott homered to lead off the game it was his fourth one of the season.  In the top of the ninth DeLeon singled home Sanchez.  Taking the loss in the game was Sneed with his first blown save his record moves to three wins and five loses.
