Morning Bits: Gardner, Sabathia, Teixeira, Rodriguez

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday. We all have to admit, yesterday’s game was a little–odd. Well, CC Sabathia takes the mound for the Yankees in the series finale . Let’s get onto the Morning Bits!

—  Brett Gardner saw the doctor yesterday to see if he could start swinging again. If Gardner gets cleared, he expects to be back late next week

— CC Sabathia takes the mound for the game this afternoon. Did you know Sabathia is 21-7 with a 3.08 ERA in daytime games since 2009 as well as 4-1 with a 2.33 ERA vs. the Reds?

— After waiting a month and a half, Mark Teixeira finally took 2 days off vs. the Reds series, but knowing that his bronchitis won’t go away in that lapse of time, Teixeira might sit the whole series out.

— The New York Daily News writes that Alex Rodriguez & Mark Teixeira just might turn into the faces of bad contracts for the New York Yankees.

Can you believe the media jumping all over Tex and A-Rod as being bad Contracts…after 40 games? I think we all agree the A-Rod contract was to long but Tex? Tex is his worse enemy, he came he saw and he has tried to beat, the right field wall, go back to what gave you the big contract Tex! 🙂
